John Vella wins major public artwork commission

John Vella has teamed up with Scotland-based artist Stephen Hurrel to develop a major public artwork for the new premises of Hydro Consulting.
The new building, built at Cambridge, will house all the latest in environmental design for the headquarters of Tasmania’s energy consulting services. The building is currently under construction.
The Vella-Hurrel sculpture will be constructed early in 2008.

Celebrating the way artists and galleries share ‘a crazy love’ - an essential love that nourishes our day to day existence, the exhibition will also acknowledge 21 years of Linden - Centre for Contemporary Arts. The show will feature new work by artists whose relationship with Linden is many layered and whose careers they have supported.
Megan Keating joins Elizabeth Gower, Rob McHaffie, Elizabeth Presa, Neil Taylor & Six Degrees Architects, Christian Thompson and Michael Vale.

Matt Coyle - Worry Doll
Matt Coyle brings the images from the highly acclaimed graphic novel, Worry Doll, to the gallery. The exhibition will feature prints from the novel as well original drawings.

Worry Doll opens at Criterion 27 September and runs until 27 October 2007.
