Megan Keating experiments at Taiwan Residency

Air Pressure 2007
Megan Keating took up an Asialink residency in December last year and has had a smooth transition into life in Taiwan. The three month residency at the Taipei International Artists Village has allowed Keating to explore the use of traditional paper-based artistic practices and experiment with new materials in her own practice.
The image above, an outdoor installation work titled Air Pressure, is part of the current exhibition at the 228 Memorial Museum in Taipei. The exhibition, In Dreams Begin Responsibilities, is held in conjunction with Taiwanese artists, Wei-Jane Chir and Hung-Chih Peng. Keating uses red astro turf in this work, with other paper based works inside.
Keating is preparing for another exhibition in Taipei before she returns to Australia in late February.
