Congratulations to Neil Haddon, winner of TIDAL 06 at the Devonport Regional Gallery.

Neil Haddon’s work Survivor (Del Tink Gyp Flynn) 2006 was chosen from a record number of entries from around the country. The judges, Dr Gerard Vaughan, Director of National Gallery of Victoria, Bea Maddock and Daniel Thomas were unanimous in their decision.

The $10,000 prize adds to his recent acquisition by the Gold Coast City Art Gallery as part of the Conrad Jupiters Art Prize. Well done Neil.

We look forward to Neil’s upcoming exhibition at Criterion Gallery, Stranded, opening 22 March 2007 just before the opening of 10 Days on the Island.

Congratulations also to James Newitt, winner of the $3,000 Tasmanian prize.
